Oil Intake & Weighbridge

Connect automatic truck identification, intelligent weighbridge control, oil-transfer measurement, quality monitoring and SAP integration in one traceable operational workflow.

ANPR Weighbridge automation Oil intake Quality monitoring SAP integration
01 Dual-camera ANPR

Automatically identify the truck and link it to its transaction history.

02 Stable weight validation

Accept the weighbridge value only after three consistent readings within tolerance.

03 Continuous oil measurement

Monitor mass flow, temperature and density throughout the unloading process.

04 SAP integration

Automatically prepare completed transaction data for the enterprise system.

The workflow

One connected process. From gate to SAP

The module connects identification, weighing, routing, oil transfer, validation and enterprise integration into one controlled transaction with fewer manual touchpoints.

01
Identify

Automatic truck identification

Two ANPR cameras independently read the licence plate and compare confidence levels. The identified truck is linked to the current transaction and relevant historical records.

02
Gross weight

Stable weighbridge capture

The system waits for three consistent weight readings within the configured tolerance before accepting the inbound weight, reducing unstable values and manual transcription.

03
Route

Automatic workflow selection

Current transaction information and truck history can be used to direct the vehicle into the correct cargo or oil-intake workflow.

04
Oil intake

Continuous transfer measurement

During unloading, oil quantity, mass flow, temperature and density are recorded continuously, creating a measured picture of the complete transfer rather than only a before-and-after weight.

05
Tare weight

Close and validate the physical transaction

The empty truck returns to the weighbridge for a stable tare measurement. Gross weight, tare weight and measured oil can then be compared to identify discrepancies.

06
Integrate

Automatic SAP handover

Completed transaction data — including truck identification, weights, measured oil quantity and timestamps — is automatically prepared for SAP without manual re-entry.

Operational visibility

One transaction. Multiple independent measurements

Each oil transfer becomes a complete operational record combining truck identity, gross and tare weight, measured oil quantity, timing, flow, temperature and density — with discrepancies calculated automatically.

Operational intelligence

Measure more than
weight

Continuous process data makes it possible to evaluate both unloading performance and the physical characteristics of every delivery.

Quantity

Measured versus expected oil

Compare measured oil quantity with the expected or invoiced amount and expose the discrepancy in kilograms directly in the transfer record.

Flow

Transfer profile

Review startup, steady-state flow and shutdown behaviour to identify interruptions, unusual rate changes or process instability.

Temperature & density

Continuous quality indicators

Record temperature and density throughout unloading instead of relying only on a single point measurement.

History

Transfer and truck intelligence

Compare previous deliveries, tare-weight consistency and visit patterns to identify recurring deviations and support arrival planning.

Quality monitoring

A full-load quality picture

Density and temperature are recorded while the complete tanker load passes through the intake line. This gives operators a broader view of product consistency than a single sample can provide.

Additional measurements such as viscosity or water content can be integrated where the process and instrumentation require them.

01 Continuous monitoring

Track product characteristics throughout the full unloading period.

02 Trend visibility

Visualise density variation across the complete transfer.

03 Anomaly detection

Highlight unusual behaviour that may not be visible in a single sample.

Local control + central intelligence

HMI control and platform insight working together

The local HMI remains focused on safe operation of the physical process, while the platform provides transaction history, analytics, reporting and enterprise-level visibility.

Local HMI

Operate the process

Visualise tanks, buffer vessel and flow status, start or stop the process, handle alarms and use manual mode where required.

Industrial Intelligence Platform

Understand the operation

Analyse completed transfers, compare measurements, investigate trends, report performance and connect the intake process to wider plant data.

Connected to the platform

The intake does not end at the weighbridge

Once stored in the Manomay Industrial Intelligence Platform, the delivery becomes part of the plant's wider operational data. The same information can support production reporting, supplier analysis, alarms, maintenance, truck-history analytics and enterprise-level dashboards.

Weighbridge + Transfer Equipment
Operational value

Better traceability. Less manual reconciliation

01

Automated chain of custody

Identification, weighing, transfer measurement and SAP handover remain linked to the same truck transaction.

02

Independent quantity validation

Compare gross/tare-derived weight with measured oil flow instead of depending on one measurement source.

03

Continuous process visibility

Monitor flow, temperature, density and discrepancies while the delivery is still in progress.

04

Less manual data handling

Truck data, weights, measurements and timestamps move through the workflow automatically and are prepared for SAP.
